upbringing

Born in Taiwan and grew up in Suzhou, China.
As weird of a person as I am. I often lost in oceans of thought due to my introvercy. An over-thinker. Back in kindergarten, I was already "Lost". I was really into playing free building toys and it was all I could think about my entire toddler years. I know it sounds absurd but my child brain couldn't handle much. Today, overthinking is a habit I find it quite pleasant to spend time unraveling the problem before jumping into solutions.

a switch

Lane switching from building furniture to digital product, I drew a lot of connection between two field. Furniture design is tangible while UX/UI design is evolving to be more and more intangible. If we aim to close the gap of tangibility, begs the aid of technological advancement.
I believe my job as a designer is to unpack the layers behind every problem, and be the user. Users, An over-used and disjointed term that pacts tremendous complexity. The key is to be convinced and motivated to find a solution for the users!

vision

I envision a world beyond the black mirrors. Where physical screens are no longer are part of our lives. For better and for worse, interface in 20 years will no longer be on a block in your pocket. In 10 years, block-chain will be properly understood by the mass, and we will build decentralized social experiences without worrying about our privacy. Besides from ending wars, I march to see a world where AR, VR, and Full-Dive-Systems are the convenience to everything.
2021, I transitioned from industrial design to 2D realm. Learning UI/UX and Graphic Design allowed me to further realize my vision. The most valuable aspect as a UI/UX designer is its diversity in problems. Being accepted into a new industry and reimagine its future alongside leaders is truly enriching.
